Necking Pt. Deux

Not only did I have a crick in my next last week, but I some how gave it to Craig and he’s given it back. I was feeling great, working out again, loving life, and boom! It hits you square in the face… I mean neck… and your life is turned upside down. Well, really, your life is just turned to one side. This time, it happens to be on the left side of my neck. At least I’m treating both sides of my body equally!

It’s strange that I got two within a week of each other. I couldn’t have told you last time I had one… I hope this is the last of them for a while!!!

Necking

This is me, Kaylan, with a crick in my neck. I'm not sure what caused it, but I know when I woke up this morning, my head would not turn to the right without serious pain. I didn't even work out yesterday! Looks like I'm not going to get my work out in today... and I hate that... and I hate my neck for putting me in pain! Stupid neck.

Anyway, short post today because of neck pain, but I'll update my blog again soon.

To all the normal neck people, please pray for my neck to return to normal so I can work out again and not be bummed.

Spring has Sprung

And that means I’m getting ready for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dallas. I haven’t actually made it to the parade before, but we crashed a good party last year where the people were so drunk they were giving us their beer for free! Free beer = good times.

Then we went to Ships. A dive bar for sure, but it was fun.

T minus 4 days and counting until this weekend’s celebration.

One Month

Opening Day 2008
B-1 Bomber Fly Over with American Flag

Only one month left before Rangers Opening Day! Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh… I can’t wait until it’s here. It’s one of my favorite days of the year for many reasons:
1. Baseball season is finally here.
2. It means it is spring in Texas – the best time of year.
3. We’re close to summer – the second best time of year.
4. Flowers, grilling out with friends, swimming, boating, etc…

The reasons to get exciting about Rangers Opening Day are endless, even if you aren’t a fan of baseball.

Go Rangers!

Check out the exciting ballpark improvements that continue at Rangers Ballpark. (I put them on Kodak Gallery because I wanted you to see the pictures in their full size.)

Independence Day

173 years ago today, Texas became its own Republic by breaking away from the Mexican Government. Many men, women, and children lost their lives defending a land we now know as Texas.

I take great pride in knowing that the state which I am from has such a rich history and I proudly fly my Texas flag today in honor of her Independence Day.

First flag of Texas

Texas Declaration of Independence

Today’s Flag

Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas Flag (from how I remember it in elementary school, but it has changed since then.)
Honor the Texas flag;
I pledge allegiance to thee,
Texas, one and indivisible.

On a difference note, I hung out with my brother and Craig on Sunday. We were goofing around after watching the
Saturday Night Live Digital Short – On a Boat (check it out on youtube here). We tried to recreate a portion of the short video while we were driving around on Sunday. We didn’t get much, and the video is sideways, but it’s still funny. At least it’s funny to us.

Check out the short video.

Enjoy your Texas Independence Day.
